What to do if the battery is leaking?
Lithium-ion batteries have a wide range of applications and are popular in many fields due to their superior performance. Theoretically, it is very unlikely that a lithium-ion battery will leak, but regardless of the type of battery, there is always a risk of leakage. When encountering such a situation, how to avoid accidents and handle them safely? How can you prevent such a thing from happening?

May cause leakage
Overcharging can potentially lead to leakage, a condition that can cause the battery to produce gas, causing it to expand and rupture.
When the battery suffers physical damage (dropping, perforation, penetration) and when the battery case is damaged. Electrolyte leakage can react with the battery components. Before batteries are sold, they undergo multiple tests for durability and damage resistance. Reduce the risk of physical damage.
Battery use environment temperature exceeds the use range, high temperature may lead to electrolyte leakage, storage and use should pay attention to the ambient temperature.
SANFOU LiFePO4 Battery Built-in BMS protection device, multiple protection functions, greatly reducing the risk of battery use.

Inspection and Handling
1. Check the battery case for damage, perforation, etc.
2. Remove the modification to check whether there is any leakage phenomenon, ensure the condition of the safety felling valve, and observe whether the electrolyte flows into the battery.
3. Test the sealing, no air bubbles sealed well. It is not recommended to be placed in a humid place for a long time, or immersed in water for a long time.
Confirm the source of leakage and carefully clean the affected area with a knife. Use strong adhesive for sealing. Take care to select an adhesive suitable for the battery.

Prevention
1. Avoid using batteries in extreme temperatures
2. Check batteries for damage before use, and do not use damaged batteries.
3. Place batteries in a battery compartment or on a battery rack to provide additional protection
4. Dispose of old and damaged batteries wisely
Check for signs of leakage by eye. If leaking, the chemicals will emit an odor.
Choose the disposal method according to the type of lithium-ion battery. In the case of lithium-ion batteries containing flammable chemical materials, evacuate and ask for help if necessary. Remember to disconnect the battery as soon as there is a risk of leakage.
If the battery is old or has been used for a long time, replace it promptly to reduce the risk of accidents.
